The ASU BFA Summer Dance Intensive-CDAT will offer a one-week program from July 21-27, 2024, aiming to provide pre-professional dance training and performance opportunity for students aged 12 to 21. This community enrichment program is designed to enhance confidence, knowledge, and self-esteem through various dance styles, including classical ballet, pointe, modern, and repertoire. Participants will also gain insights into dance history, nutrition, and pursuing dance careers.
Mission
To educate youth on dance styles, history, and performance skills in a safe and positive environment, fostering self-expression and creativity.
The program seeks to introduce students to pre-professional dance training, offering affordable rates and scholarships to enrich the community. ASU BFA Summer Dance Intensive will culminate in a showcase, providing exposure for potential future BFA Dance Program students. It serves as a recruitment opportunity and helps place incoming freshmen at appropriate levels.
