COMPLEXITIES Genesis and Revelations: A BFA Senior Capstone Dance ProductionAlabama State University, College Of Visual and Performing Arts, Department of Theater and Dance, BFA Dance Program, is thrilled to announce the upcoming Senior Capstone Dance Show, titled "Complexities Genesis" and "Complexities Revelations." The performances will occur on March 7th and 8th for Complexities Genesis and March 14th and 15th for Complexities Revelations, respectively.The Senior Capstone Dance Performance represents the culmination of the hard work, dedication, and artistic growth of our talented senior students . These exceptional individuals have devoted countless hours to honing their craft, exploring innovative choreography, and pushing the boundaries of expression.Complexities: Genesis, scheduled for March 7th and 8th, will showcase the initial stages of the dancers' creative journey. The choreographers Elon Brown, Damundrick Burrell-Franks, Jaela Deadrick, Janiya Douglas, Joshua Francis, and Akeia Fuqua are known for their unique styles and creative approaches to dance. Audiences will witness the birth of ideas, the exploration of movement, and the development of unique choreographic concepts. This phase of the performance will captivate viewers with the raw energy and imaginative interpretations that lay the foundation for the dancers' artistic expression.

Complexities: Revelations, taking place on March 14th and 15th, is a dance production that features choreography by Asia Houston, Donovan McFadden, Michaela Mckenzie, Takia Miller, Kamaria Roberson,Isaac “Izaak”Vilbrun, and Azya Warrick which will unveil the final results of the dancers' creative endeavors. The performances will immerse the audience in a world of captivating storytelling, technical prowess, and emotional depth. The senior dancers will share their revelations through the art of dance, highlighting their growth and transformation throughout their dance education.
